WHAT'S YOUR STORY?  WE WANT TO KNOW YOURS!

Everyone has a story. We want to hear YOUR story and understand YOUR true character through these performance exercises. Let's start with an introduction bio video about yourself.  Then, we challenge you to write your own material. Instead of choosing a monologue, I challenge you to write your own character, script or monologue.

Create a scene or moment that brings you back to an important time in your life. It could be a major life event or turning point that has shaped who you are today and what you stand for. Or even a simple moment that has resonated and stayed with you because of its impact on your life.Don't be afraid to show us who you are as a person and let your true character shine through with authenticity. Never forget who you are because that is how you start to connect with different characters and scripts that you are presented with.

TALENT PERFORMANCE:

- Select a monologue that is age appropriate that comes closest to your true character
- Highly encouraged to write your own stuff or you can find Monologues HERE
- Perform it live at our next Agency meeting or upload a pre-recorded video HERE

Below are some of our Featured Performances from our Actors.

Chau Sa Short Film . Going Viral .. AAFL

This short film was created for AAFL’s annual, global filmmaking competition, The 72 Hour Shootout - “Isolation Edition.”

The theme of this film is “Going Viral” and the mystery item to incorporate into the film is toilet paper. Our short film placed Top 50, and it is still in the running. When we received the theme “Going Viral”, we knew that we wanted to focus on what was already going around in our world today.

As a nation, we were experiencing a pandemic, protests, police brutality, & great injustice to black lives. The story is loosely inspired by the murder of George Floyd, seen from the perspective of the wife of a police officer.
