After being born in Manila, Philippines, Vanessa and her family quickly arrived into the states with hopes of having better lives. They finally settled in Dallas where she is currently living. "I definitely had a difficult time in school," she recalls, "In elementary school, everyone picked on me because I was an awkward child. It has gotten better in middle school, that's when I started to pick up confidence. High school was definitely where I almost reached home."
During her first semester of senior year, she was discovered by a local agency and suggested she should sign up for classes immediately, but she had little money. "Fortunately, they bent the rules for me and told me the exact time and location for an open call." She attended and she was quickly signed into the agency. Her first big photoshoot was with a big-time makeup artist who has worked with Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, and many more.
After a while not getting booked from her agency, Phil decided to venture out and find her own work, that's where she discovered and entered the automotive scene. It started with Cupcake Meet after a friend told her she should get into it. After a few months with Cupcake Meet, she landed her first flier for their event in Dallas.
Ever since then, that's when she was exposed locally to state-nationwide in a matter of a short period of time. She has done RPM, Import Face-Off, and Xtreme Drift Circuit; and this doesn't stop here, she is definitely hungry for more. "This won't be the last of me," she claims, "I have many ideas and goals I'd like to reach outside modeling. I have a lot tricks up my sleeves."
