Hey guys, my name is Jessica McCoy. I am half Japanese and half Caucasian (Scottish, Irish, Czechoslovakian, and Yugoslavian) and was born and raised in Japan. I moved to Arizona when I was 7, then moved to Minnesota about two years later, then moved to Irvine, which is in Southern California, where I currently reside. I am very much a SoCal beach-bum-surfer-girl, and you can almost always find me at the beach or surfing in the ocean, or talking about the beach and the surf. I am part of the Surfrider Foundation, and am involved in many beach clean-ups. I love being outdoors and in nature, and surfing is the one sport where I can literally be engulfed in nature. My other passions besides surfing are sports and any kind of art. I competed in volleyball, lacrosse, and softball in high school, and was also part of a traveling chorus. I also love all different kinds of art, whether it be crafts or painting or sketching. Another one of my interests is playing video games. Between my brother and me, we share just about every game console out there, and have games both in Japanese and English. I also love animals, especially my dog, and even stopped traffic to help several ducks and their chicks cross the street safely.
I am currently studying Kinesiology in college and hope to become a physical therapist or personal trainer. I like to keep myself healthy and fit, although I do enjoy having a donut or two after a long surf session. I can speak some Japanese, but am taking college classes to hopefully become as fluent as I once was. As you can tell, I am pretty much a tomboy who loves the ocean and sports, and I hope to showcase that, as well as discover other sides of me, in my modeling career.
